SenoRx Extends EnCor Breast Biopsy to MRI

October 13, 2009 - SenoRx extends the EnCor breast biopsy product line into the MRI arena by offering grid and pillar/post compatibility in the same EnCor MRI product.

SenoRx will show at RSNA 2009, in the North building, booth 7317, the low-profile of the EnCor MRI handpiece, which allows access to even the top most area of the MRI grid. The most significant feature of the MRI product line is the MRI visible obturator, VisiLoc. The VisiLoc obturator provides high visibility through a safe, positive-contrast mechanism that reinforces physician confidence in targeting with each procedure.

Also on display is the StarchMark Biopsy Site Marker, the only breast biopsy marker to use polysaccharide (starch) pellets to help manage and control bleeding. Pellets are essentially resorbed in approximately 2 weeks, which includes a stainless steel wireform in the center pellet for long-term radiographic marking of the biopsy site.
